Audio Books Coming in April
Beginning in April 2010, NC LIVE will begin rolling out the new MyiLibrary audio books platform to all member libraries, adding 750 downloadable eAudio Book titles for use by library patrons across the state. We will contact your library as they become available.
The new eAudio content is available from the MyiLibrary Audio Books platform and will be downloadable to either an iPod or MP3 player, as well as playable on a PC or Mac computer. Stay tuned for more information on when these new audio books will be available at your library!

Audio Book Training Opportunities
Want to learn more about the MyiLibrary Audio Books platform? The State Library of North Carolina is offering the following training opportunities:
Registration is now open for two online workshops, April 6 & 8th, about NC LIVE's new downloadable audio book collection.
To provide broadest access to staff, registration is limited to one seat per library system; broadcasting the session in a conference room or computer lab to multiple staff members is encouraged. Audio Books Pilot Program
Before going live with the collection, NC LIVE selected a group of libraries to pilot the new eAudio books, including AMY Regional Library, Blue Ridge Community College, Lenoir-Rhyne University, North Carolina Wesleyan University, Pender County Public Library, Wake Technical Community College, Western Carolina University, and Winston-Salem State University. Many of these 8 libraries have already begun offering the new audio books to their patrons.
