379 eBooks Available through MyiLibrary
Beginning December 14, 2009, North Carolina libraries can offer their library patrons 379 new eBooks made available through NC LIVE with a LSTA grant from the State Library of North Carolina.
To access the books, click here, or select the eBooks category from our homepage, then select MyiLibrary.
The new eBooks, with subjects focusing primarily on language learning, project management, history, biography, health, and medicine, are available to library patrons both within North Carolina libraries, and remotely via any Internet connection. Patrons at all 197 NC LIVE member libraries have free online access to the new collection of eBooks through their library's website or www.nclive.org.
MARC records for the new eBooks are coming later this week. An announcement of the new MARC records will be made as soon as they are available.
NC LIVE purchased the eBooks through Ingram Digital and will make the books available through their MyiLibrary platform. Patrons can read the books online without downloading any material and no proprietary eBook reader is needed to view the books.
